Quetta: The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for the 6,080th consecutive day on Sunday in front of the Quetta Press Club.

During the protest, the brother of Zakir Noor, a Baloch student from Panjgur, contacted VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch to file a complaint regarding his brother’s enforced disappearance.

According to the family, Zakir Noor was taken into custody by state security personnel in Karachi during the night between December 29 and 30, 2025, and was subsequently transferred to an undisclosed location.

The family stated that they have repeatedly approached the Karachi administration but have neither been informed of the reasons for his detention nor provided any information regarding his well-being. They said the uncertainty has caused severe distress to the family.

Nasrullah Baloch assured the family that Zakir Noor’s case would be raised at the organizational level before the Commission on Missing Persons and the government under the framework of the Constitution. He said the organization would raise its voice on every available forum for his safe recovery.

He further demanded that if there are any charges against Zakir Noor, he should be produced before a court of law and given the right to legal defense. If he is innocent, the government should ensure his immediate release and relieve the family from their ongoing anguish.
