QUETTA: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement released to the media that on January 12, in the Shor Parod area of Kalat, the occupying Pakistani army carried out a drone attack on a temporary patrol camp of the Baloch Liberation Army, as a result of which four brave sarmachars of the organization Sangat Zoheer alias Haq Nawaz, Manzoor Kurd alias Bakhtiar Cheeta, Samiullah alias Javed Phaliya, and Naseer Ahmed alias Meerak were martyred.

He said that martyred Sangat Zoheer alias Haq Nawaz Baloch, son of Muhammad Afzal Faqirzai, belonged to the Ahmed Wal area of Noshki. He joined the Baloch Liberation Army in 2023 and, due to his abilities, assumed responsibilities as a trainer within a year. Sangat Zoheer served on the Mastung, Qalat, and Noshki fronts.

Sangat Zoheer was known within the organization for discipline and military skills and paid special attention to the ideological training of young sarmachars.

The spokesperson said that martyred Sangat Manzoor Kurd alias Bakhtiar Cheeta, son of Muhammad Rahim Kurd, belonged to the Burma Hotel Quetta. The 22-year-old Manzoor Kurd joined the Baloch Liberation Army in 2016 and served as an urban guerrilla, later moving to the mountain front in 2018. He served on the fronts in Bolan, Nagaho and Kalat.

He added that Sangat Manzoor Kurd’s brother, Mohiuddin alias Sangat Najeeb, was martyred in 2016 during a direct confrontation with Pakistani army commandos following an attack on General Aslam Baloch in the Yakhou area of Bolan. Several members of their family were repeatedly targeted by the occupying forces through enforced disappearances and raids as collective punishment. Despite this, Sangat Manzoor Kurd remained steadfast in his stance for freedom until his last breath.

The spokesperson said that martyred Sangat Samiullah alias Javed Phaliya, son of Dinar Khan Kiyazai, belonged to the Mach area of Bolan. He joined the Baloch Liberation Army in 2023 and served on the Bolan and Qalat fronts. Within a short period, he proved to be an asset to the organization and earned a prominent position among the sarmachars due to his versatile role.

Martyred Sangat Naseer Ahmed alias Meerak, son of Nabi Bakhsh Sumalani, belonged to Shahrag. He joined the Baloch Liberation Army two years ago and served on the Bolan and Kalat fronts. Sangat Meerak was regarded as an example of frontline discipline and responsibility. His brother, Sangat Khair Bakhsh Sumalani alias Fareed, was martyred in November 2022 on the Bolan front during prolonged clashes with the occupying forces, adhering to the philosophy of fighting until the last bullet.

The spokesperson stated that the Baloch Liberation Army pays tribute to its martyred sarmachars and reaffirms its resolve that the blood of the martyrs will be avenged through the achievement of their objective.
