Turbat: Armed Men Reportedly Set Up Checkpoint on M-8 Highway, Attack on Police Post Reported

Kech: Reports have emerged of armed men setting up a blockade on the M-8 CPEC highway between Turbat and Dasht, in the Lodi Jangjah area, along with an attack on a nearby police checkpoint.

According to local sources, from approximately 9:00pm to 10:30pm last night, unidentified armed men temporarily closed the highway and stopped passing vehicles for checking. During the same period, a nearby police check post was targeted, where policemen were reportedly detained and their official weapons seized before the attackers fled the scene.

No fatalities have been confirmed so far, and no group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Further details are awaited.
