
KECH: The bodies of two young men were recovered near Banuk Chadhai along the Pasni Road in Turbat on Thursday. Police shifted the bodies to the hospital after being alerted by local residents.
According to police, initial examination at the hospital led to the identification of the deceased as Zarif, son of Lal Bakhsh resident of Balor Kolwah and Farooq, son of Naeem. Local sources claim both young men had been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces several months ago.
Regional sources said Zarif Baloch was forcibly disappeared from Ormara about two weeks before the start of Ramadan. They added that on the night of October 30, Pakistani forces detained him along with Yasir Baloch, Allah Bakhsh and Waheed Ahmad Mola Bakhsh, after which all were disappeared.
It is worth noting that on 23 November 2023, the bodies of four previously disappeared youths Balach Mola Bakhsh, Wadood Baloch, Saif Baloch, and Shakoor Baloch were also found. Their families had claimed they were in the custody of Pakistani forces. Following that incident, the family of Balach Mola Bakhsh held a protest march from Turbat to Quetta and later to Islamabad.
