
Quetta, Balochistan: On the occasion of Baloch Martyrs’ Day (November 13), the central spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP) issued a statement emphasizing the significance of the day in preserving Baloch national identity.
The spokesperson said that November 13 is not only a day to remember Khan Mehrab Khan and his companions but also a day to honor the history of Baloch resistance, sacrifice and survival. “This day commemorates every Baloch martyr who gave their life for the homeland, nation and identity,” the statement read.
Baloch Martyrs’ Day symbolizes collective sacrifice and steadfastness, reminding the nation that the Baloch have always resisted oppression, tyranny and subjugation. From 1839 to the present, these sacrifices have kept Baloch national consciousness alive, forming the foundation of patriotism rooted in sacrifice, resilience and national responsibility.
The NDP spokesperson further stressed that every Baloch, whether a student, teacher, lawyer, doctor, laborer, farmer, or government official, bears the responsibility of building a dignified and autonomous future for coming generations, guided by national ideals.
“The land of Balochistan is a trust left by our martyrs. Its mountains, valleys, rivers, plains and seas are integral to the identity and pride of the Baloch nation. Its natural resources, minerals, gas and maritime wealth belong solely to the Baloch people,” the statement emphasized.
The National Democratic Party reaffirmed its commitment to Baloch national rights, political autonomy, intellectual awakening and the mission of the martyrs, stating that this is the true message and national duty of Baloch Martyrs’ Day.
