The protest camp set up by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) in front of the Quetta Press Club has entered its 5,898th day, continuing the organization’s long-standing demonstration against enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
People from various walks of life visited the camp to express their solidarity with the families of the missing persons.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch stated that enforced disappearances are a grave violation of human rights.
He demanded that all forcibly disappeared individuals be brought to light and granted their constitutional right to legal due process.
“Extrajudicial enforced disappearances must end and all missing persons must be recovered,” he said. “The systematic extrajudicial killings of Baloch missing persons must be stopped, and the issue of enforced disappearances should be resolved under the framework of national law.”
Nasrullah Baloch further emphasized that the Balochistan issue is political in nature and should be addressed through political means, rather than through the use of force.
