
Karachi / Quetta: Reports have emerged of three individuals allegedly subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies in separate incidents across Lyari, Jhao and Naseerabad.
According to local sources, on July 17, 2025, a 25-year-old rickshaw driver, Zahid Ali, son of Abdul Hameed, was detained in the Lyari area while waiting for passengers at a rickshaw stand. Eyewitnesses claim that he was taken away along with his rickshaw by security personnel and has not been seen since. His family has called for his immediate and safe release.
In an another incident, Hamid, son of Afzal, was reportedly taken into custody by Pakistani forces four days ago in the Jhao area of Awaran. Hamid, a resident of Kooto, has remained missing since his arrest, with no official confirmation or information about his whereabouts.
Meanwhile, in Naseerabad, Muhammad Hussain, son of Jamal Khan, was reportedly detained by personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) during a raid on his residence at around 7 PM on July 5. Witnesses allege that he was forcibly taken by CTD officials and has not returned home since.
