In Balochistan’s Kalat district, unidentified gunmen ambushed a passenger coach near Neemerg Cross, killing three security personnel and injuring seven others. The coach was reportedly traveling from Karachi to Quetta and allegedly carried 48 military personnel.
According to police sources, the attack occurred in the evening when the coach reached the outskirts of Kalat near Neemerg Cross. Heavily armed assailants opened direct fire on the vehicle, resulting in multiple casualties.
Rescue teams transported three bodies and five injured individuals to Kalat District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, with more wounded being brought in later.
Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the Kalat Civil Hospital, imposing strict security and restricting all movement in and out of the facility.
Initial reports suggest that the targeted vehicle was a civilian passenger bus carrying military personnel in plain clothes, though this has not been officially confirmed yet.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
