Jhao: Major Rab Nawaz Confirmed Killed in Intense Attack on Pakistani Forces

In the Jhao area of Awaran district, Balochistan, armed assailants launched a fierce attack on a convoy of Pakistani forces as they entered a mountainous region to conduct an operation.

According to sources, the assault was highly intense and lasted for over an hour. So far, the death of Major Rab Nawaz has been confirmed, although the Pakistani military has yet to issue an official statement.

Major Rab Nawaz was reportedly affiliated with the 7th Baloch Regiment and was a resident of Kashmir. There are also reports of additional fatalities among the forces, but their identities have not yet been confirmed.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, though in the past, the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed similar attacks in the Awaran region.
