The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for attacks on Pakistani military personnel and vehicles belonging to an “exploitative” company during a nighttime blockade on the Quetta-Karachi RCD Highway in Kalat.
In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch stated that on the night of July 11, at approximately 9 p.m., BLA fighters established a blockade in the Dasht Goran area of Kalat along the main RCD highway. According to the statement, the fighters took control of the area and began checking vehicles, a process that continued until around 1 a.m.
The spokesperson reported that during this time, Pakistani forces attempted to enter the area under BLA control. In response, BLA fighters launched attacks from multiple directions, leading to prolonged clashes. As per BLA claims, two Pakistani soldiers were killed and three others wounded, forcing the security forces to retreat.
Azad Baloch added that during the same operation, BLA fighters also targeted vehicles and machinery belonging to a private “exploitative” company near Gidan Hotel, inflicting significant damage.
He concluded the statement by reaffirming the group’s commitment to continue its armed struggle until the establishment of an independent and sovereign Balochistan.
