
Dera Murad Jamali/Kalat: At least three security personnel were injured in separate remote-controlled bomb attacks targeting law enforcement in Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamali and Kalat on Sunday, as tensions continue to simmer in the province.
In Dera Murad Jamali, a remote-controlled explosive device struck a highway police vehicle on patrol near Qadir Kot within the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station. The explosion left three officers injured. They have been identified as Naik Muhammad Bugti, Ghulam Murtaza Mangi, and Hawran Khan Punjabi. The wounded officers were rushed to the Civil Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
According to sources, the attack occurred during routine patrol operations.
In a separate incident in the Johan Cross area of Kalat, two consecutive explosions targeted a bomb disposal squad and foot patrol units. The blasts resulted in both personnel casualties and material damage.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks so far, and security forces have cordoned off both areas while investigations are underway.
These attacks mark a continuation of rising violence against security forces in the region, highlighting the persistent security challenges in Balochistan.
