Awaran: Increased Helicopter Activity Sparks Fears of Possible Military Operation in Northern Hills

Awaran, Balochistan: Unusual helicopter movements over the northern mountain ranges of Awaran have raised concerns about a potential military operation in the area, according to local sources.

Residents report that since early morning, helicopters have been flying from the main Pakistani military camp in Awaran city toward the northern hills. The heightened aerial activity has fueled speculation of an imminent or ongoing military offensive, although no official confirmation has been provided so far.

In recent days, Awaran has been on high security alert. The district administration recently issued a notice warning regional contractors and locals that employing non-local laborers without prior approval would result in legal action. The move is seen as part of a broader effort to control movement and maintain strict surveillance in the area.

Despite the intense helicopter presence and fears of an operation, no casualties or arrests have been reported so far. Authorities have yet to release an official statement, and further details are awaited.

The situation remains tense, with civil society organizations and residents expressing concern over the possibility of renewed conflict in the already volatile region.
