Kech Balochistan: A large group of armed men launched an attack on the Levies checkpost at Gondsarin, located along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route in Hoshab, Kech and reportedly took control of the post.
According to local sources, after seizing the checkpost, the attackers also targeted a convoy of Pakistani security forces entering the area.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing intense gunfire and multiple explosions during the incident, which continued for a considerable period, creating panic in the vicinity.
It is worth noting that recent weeks have seen a rise in attacks on checkposts, road blockades, and temporary takeovers by Baloch armed groups in various parts of Balochistan. Such incidents have often been claimed by organizations such as the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) and Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
However, as of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the Hoshab attack.
