In Gomazi, a town in the Tump sub-division of Kech, Balochistan, a youth was shot and killed by members of a state-backed death squad allegedly operating under the patronage of the Pakistani military.
According to local sources, the deceased has been identified as Afzal, son of Sabzal, a resident of Gomazi. Reports state that unidentified individuals called him near his home earlier today and shot him dead.
It is worth noting that several similar incidents have previously taken place in Gomazi, with operatives of the Pakistan army-backed death squads often held responsible. In other parts of Balochistan as well, numerous individuals including minors, have been killed in comparable circumstances.
