Jaffar Express Attack: BLA Releases Operation Video and Fidayeen Messages

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a video detailing its recent attack on the Jaffer Express near the Mashkaf area in Balochistan, in which dozens of Pakistani military personnel were reportedly captured. The video includes graphic footage of the operation, tributes to the group’s fallen fighters, and final recorded messages from the suicide attackers involved in the mission.

A Ruthless Operation

The video begins with a militant calling for an “intensely swift and ruthless war” against the Pakistani state and its “collaborators.” Armed fighters are seen planning the attack, with one scene showing a BLA member briefing others before the assault.

According to the footage, BLA fighters planted explosives along the railway track, forcing the Jaffer Express to halt. Following the explosion, a large group of militants stormed the train and took dozens of Pakistani military personnel hostage. Civilian passengers, including women and children, were reportedly released unharmed.

BLA claimed that 214 military personnel were captured and that it offered a prisoner exchange, which the Pakistani military allegedly refused. Consequently, the BLA states that all captives were executed. The video includes images of 12 BLA fighters who were killed during the attack and concludes with emotional messages from the fidayeen (suicide) squad.

Final Messages from the Fidayeen Fighters

Fidayeen Ahkam Baloch begins his message by paying tribute to fallen comrades:

“I salute all the martyrs who left behind their families for our cause. I have made a conscious decision—this is not just a decision, it is a great philosophy.” He calls on the Baloch people to stop discouraging their youth from joining the armed struggle, “We must understand—if we do not choose war now, we will be erased from history. I urge the nation: do not prevent your youth from joining the struggle. Be their support. Be their strength.”

He closes by reassuring his family: “Do not be worried for me. I am not the only son sacrificed—many others have given their lives. The army is imprisoning our brothers and sisters; the only fitting response is to drive them out of our land.”

Fidayeen Usama also pays tribute to the martyrs and urges the Baloch nation to rise up:

“There will be no reconciliation with the Punjabis or their agents.”In a message directed to his family, he explains the reasoning behind his actions:“By the time you hear this, I will have completed my mission. Do not be distressed. I did not choose this path for crime or wealth—it was a conscious, honorable choice. Feel pride, not grief.”

He warns his family against falling prey to state pressure and propaganda:

“If they try to force a press conference or use you for propaganda, do not give in. This is a just war—we will win, even if it takes generations.”

Fidayeen Parwez delivers a politically charged message, citing the Baloch struggle’s 70-year history:

“This war was imposed on us through occupation. Our struggle has now entered its third phase—direct confrontation with the occupier.”Referring to BLA leader Bashir Zeb’s strategy, he notes:“The struggle has evolved from protests to guerrilla war, and now to full-scale confrontation. Thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs, our movement has reached this critical stage.”He criticizes those who seek comfort in daily life while women are joining the armed struggle:

“Our sisters like Samia, Shaari, and Mahil have strapped on explosives to strike the enemy. And we’re still thinking about jobs and comfort? This is not the time to wait.”He ends by urging youth to embrace the struggle rather than chase material gain.

Another anonymous fidayeen emphasizes the need for intensified guerrilla warfare to hasten the end of the conflict:

“Guerrilla wars have always brought freedom. Whether it takes 20 or 200 years—how long this takes depends on us. If we fight with greater intensity, the next generation raised in the scent of gunpowder will continue the struggle with even more resolve.”He criticizes previous generations for not fighting hard enough and references the Vietnam War:“The Americans feared even retrieving their soldiers’ bodies. That’s the kind of fear we must instill in the enemy.”

“We’re already dying—dying for water, for jobs, for dignity. Why not die for freedom? Join the BLA, join Majid Brigade, become a part of this war.”

Fidayeen Shahwez focuses on the emotional toll of the conflict on Baloch families:

“Today, the occupying state is committing genocide. Mothers and sisters are protesting, while their sons are abducted and disappeared for years. From some homes, two brothers are taken. What must those families go through?”“We, the resistance fighters, are their only hope. We cannot break that hope—because there is no hope from Pakistan.”

He ends with a warning to local collaborators:

“To those who act as agents of the Punjabi establishment—your days are numbered.”
