Mama Qadeer Baloch told the media that despite the passage of several days, the families of the forcibly disappeared in Kardigap continue their protest on the streets. However, instead of addressing their grievances, state institutions remain preoccupied with further actions.
Expressing deep concern, he stated that Pakistani forces are establishing new checkpoints in Kalat, which will only escalate human rights violations. He shared these views while speaking to delegations visiting the VBMP protest camp. On Friday, the hunger strike camp—established to demand the recovery of forcibly disappeared persons and justice for the families of those extrajudicially killed—marked its 5,752nd day. Political and social activists from Kalat, including Abdul Hameed Baloch, Faiz Muhammad Baloch, and others, visited the camp to express solidarity with the affected families and condemn enforced disappearances.
In his remarks, Mama Qadeer Baloch also referred to Amnesty International’s report, which highlighted serious concerns regarding the human rights situation in Balochistan. However, he emphasized that mere verbal condemnations and expressions of concern are not enough to end the decades-long practice of enforced disappearances.
He stressed the need for concrete global action, urging for the mobilization of public opinion and the formulation of a unified strategy to address this ongoing crisis.
