A bomb exploded at a railway station in Quetta at 8:45 AM local time, killing at least 25 and injuring 30 as nearly 100 passengers boarded a Peshawar-bound train.
Earlier report suggest a suicide bomber with 6-8 Kg of explosives carried out the attack.
The explosion occurred when Pakistani Army infantry trainees were traveling back home after their training course.
SSP Operation Muhammad Baloch confirmed that the Military personnel are among the casualties.
BLA Spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch issued a short media statement claiming responsibility for Quetta Railway Station attack and claimed that it was executed by the BLA’s Fidayee unit Majeed Brigade, “Fidayee Attack” carried out on Pakistani army unit at Quetta Railway Station as they were returning via Jaffer Express after completing course at the Infantry School “
