KALAT, BALOCHISTAN: The Kalat district administration, acting on directions from military authorities, has ordered residents of the Parod, Shor and Gazg areas to relocate by September 28, 2026.
A notice issued by the Assistant Commissioner of Kalat and Khaliqabad stated that, in view of the law-and-order situation, residents of the said areas must complete their evacuation by the specified date.
The notice appealed to all concerned individuals to comply with the district administration’s orders and ensure their own safety. Relevant administrative and law enforcement agencies have also been informed of the notice.
It is worth noting that in early September, the Chief Minister of Balochistan had also spoken about the relocation of nearly a thousand people from the hilly Shor-Parod area.
It should be recalled that most areas of Balochistan are currently under an undeclared military operation, with aerial action and drone strikes by the Pakistani forces in several areas resulting in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians, as well as damage to property.
