
NETHERLANDS: A council meeting of the Netherlands Chapter of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) was held in the Netherlands in the presence of the party’s Chairman, Dr. Naseem Baloch. The council was dedicated to the memory of Shaheed Akbar Khan Bugti and the Baloch victims of enforced disappearance. On the occasion, elections were also held to elect the new cabinet of BNM Netherlands.
BNM Foreign Secretary Faheem Baloch attended the meeting as the chief guest. Participants held detailed discussions on organizational matters, the chapter’s performance over the past two years and the future course of action.
Before the formal proceedings began, participants observed a two-minute silence in memory of the Baloch martyrs and paid tribute to their sacrifices.
A documentary highlighting the activities and performance of BNM Netherlands over the past two years was then presented. It showcased the previous cabinet’s organizational activities, political programmes and the various initiatives undertaken by BNM in the Netherlands.
Deedag Baloch, the former General Secretary of BNM Netherlands, presented a detailed report on the chapter’s performance during the past two years and briefed members on the cabinet’s organizational activities and various programmes. Finance Secretary Bahar Baloch also presented a report on the organization’s financial affairs and financial performance during the previous term.
Following the presentation of the reports, a question-and-answer and review session was held on the performance of the outgoing cabinet. Members shared their views, suggestions and critical observations on different aspects of the chapter’s work over the past two years.
The previous cabinet was subsequently formally dissolved and the election process for the new cabinet began. As a result of the elections, Muhim Baloch was elected President, Mahra Baloch Vice President, Bahaar Baloch Finance Secretary, and Haleem Baloch Deputy General Secretary, all unopposed. Zohra Baloch was elected General Secretary following a vote for the position.
Following the formation of the new cabinet, BNM Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch administered the oath of office to the newly elected members, who pledged loyalty to their respective responsibilities, the organization and the Baloch movement.
Dr. Naseem Baloch and BNM Foreign Secretary Faheem Baloch congratulated the newly elected cabinet members. They expressed hope that the new leadership would build upon the work and achievements of the previous cabinet and further strengthen and organize the chapter’s activities.
They also expressed confidence that the new cabinet would play an active role in strengthening the Baloch national voice in the Netherlands, raising issues concerning Baloch political activists and human rights at the international level and making the organization’s activities more effective, organized and dynamic.
