KHUZDAR, BALOCHISTAN: A minor child was killed yesterday in a drone strike carried out by Pakistani forces in the Sasol Goru area of Khuzdar.
The deceased child has been identified as Muhammad Ayman, son of Yar Muhammad.
According to local sources, the child was present at a local hotel/roadside eatery at the time of the strike and was killed as a result. No further details about casualties or injuries beyond the child have been reported.
No official statement has yet been issued by Pakistani forces regarding the strike.
This is not the first such incident reported in Khuzdar. Previously, in Zehri, a tehsil, a drone strike by the Pakistani Army near the Tarasani causeway had killed four people, including two women and a man from the same family while five others were injured.
Eyewitnesses said the strike targeted a gathering, killing cleric Ali Akbar Miraji, his wife, and two other relatives, along with one passerby. Sources said the family had been returning from offering condolences in Surab Gaddar when their convoy was hit near Faraqod.
Two days prior to that strike, ISPR had confirmed separate airstrikes in Zehri, saying they had targeted a Baloch separatist hideout; local sources said three members of the Pandrani tribe were also killed in that bombing.
