Residents of Tehsil Khad Kocha in Mustung are facing severe hardship as a curfew enters its 24th hour, with daily life brought to a standstill and people unable to arrange medicine, food, and drinking water.

UC Chairman Mir Abdul Latif Muhammad Hasni said that citizens are facing extreme distress due to the curfew and called for the public to be relieved of this ordeal.

Separately, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, in a statement, described the curfew imposed indefinitely by the Home Department in Tehsil Khad Kocha as unjustified, anti-public, and a violation of basic human rights.

He said that subjecting the peaceful residents of Khad Kocha to collective punishment is unacceptable under any circumstances. He said daily life has been paralyzed due to the curfew, with orchards and crops in the area being destroyed. He added that students’ education, patients’ access to medical treatment, business activities, and the movement of ordinary citizens have all been severely affected.

He said that such decisions only increase public distress and hardship.

Former Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani also raised concerns over the curfew and urged the government to end it. When asked whether the situation in Balochistan would improve if he became chief minister again, Raisani replied that the situation will never improve now.
