PARIS: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) Department of Capacity Building organized a training session titled “Effective Policymaking and Its Impact on Political Parties.” The program was hosted by the BNM UK Chapter.
The session featured a comprehensive presentation by BNM Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch, who spoke in detail on the subject and answered questions from party members.
Speaking on the subject, Dr. Naseem Baloch said that every activist engaged in a national liberation struggle must possess a clear objective and an effective strategy. He said that without a defined purpose, a movement loses its direction, while the absence of a sound strategy increases the risk of wasting resources, time and sacrifices. A politically conscious activist, he said, must understand the purpose for which they are working, the goals they seek to achieve, and the kind of strategy required to accomplish them. Making decisions according to changing circumstances, maintaining close ties with the people, adhering to organizational discipline, and acting with careful deliberation, he added, are the essential foundations of a successful struggle.
He stated that liberation movements do not succeed through passion alone and also require careful planning, perseverance, unity, and wise leadership. While steadfast commitment by activists provides stability to a national struggle, he said, public support remains its most fundamental and indispensable pillar, adding that no movement can achieve its objectives without earning the trust, participation and moral support of the people. The people, he said, are the true source of strength behind every national movement and when they embrace a cause as their own, they strengthen the struggle through their voices, efforts and resources.
Dr. Naseem Baloch emphasized that a successful national movement cannot advance solely through the efforts of a handful of individuals or leaders and that its real strength lies in the unity, political consciousness and sustained support of the people. He said every activist and every organization has the responsibility to build strong relationships with the public, understand their concerns, maintain their trust, and demonstrate through their conduct that the struggle is being carried out for the people’s interests and future, adding that this can only be achieved through an effective strategy, which is why policymaking occupies such a central place in political organizations.
The BNM Chairman said that integrity, transparency, organizational discipline, and effective communication are indispensable for winning public support. He said that when a movement’s objectives are clear, its leadership is trustworthy, and its activists remain closely connected to the people, public confidence grows stronger, and that over time, that confidence transforms into collective public power, which plays a decisive role in the success of every national struggle.
He noted that history bears witness to the fact that only those national movements achieved lasting success that possessed a comprehensive strategy for mobilizing the people, adding that where people unite around a common purpose, even the greatest obstacles cannot endure in the face of perseverance and collective strength. Therefore, he said, every national struggle must be founded upon public support, national unity, and a shared objective, and a clear strategy provides the means to confront challenges more effectively and advance the struggle with greater purpose and efficiency.
Dr. Naseem Baloch further stated that history also demonstrates that the movements which ultimately succeeded were those that combined their ideology with strong organization, clear direction, and practical strategy. He said every activist, therefore, has the responsibility to keep the movement’s objectives constantly in view, accurately assess prevailing conditions, and clearly understand the direction of the national or political struggle.
