LONDON: The Voice for Missing Persons of Sindh (VMPS) Europe Chapter has strongly condemned the alleged abduction and enforced disappearance of Muhammad Ayoub Hab, a political worker associated with the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM), who was reportedly abducted on June 9, 2026, from Block 13, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi.

Sarang Sindhi, Coordinator and Saeed Sindhi, Deputy Coordinator of VMPS Europe Chapter, issued a joint statement from London expressing deep concern over the incident and demanding the immediate release of the missing political worker. They described enforced disappearance as a grave violation of fundamental human rights and human dignity, stressing that no individual should be deprived of liberty without due legal process.

Muhammad Ayoub Hab has been associated with the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement for the past three years and has remained connected with the Sindhi national freedom struggle for a long time. He is also the cousin of Mansoor Ahmed Hab, Central Spokesperson of the JSFM, which has drawn further attention to his case within the movement.

Since his reported abduction, Hab’s family has been unable to obtain any information regarding his whereabouts, legal status, or physical condition. The uncertainty surrounding his fate has caused severe anxiety and suffering to his family members, who continue to wait for answers and his safe return.

VMPS Europe Chapter called upon the concerned authorities to immediately disclose the whereabouts of Muhammad Ayoub Hab and ensure his safe release. The organization further stated that if any allegations exist against him, he must be presented before a court of law and granted all legal rights guaranteed under both national and international law.

Sarang Sindhi and Saeed Sindhi also appealed to the British Prime Minister, the British Parliament, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and other national and international human rights organizations to urgently take notice of this case and play their role in securing the recovery of the missing political worker.

The two leaders urged human rights defenders, civil society organizations, and the international community to raise their voices against enforced disappearances and support efforts to secure justice, accountability, and the safe return of Muhammad Ayoub Hab.
