
NOSHKI, BALOCHISTAN: A senior officer of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) was shot dead by unidentified armed men in Noshki district, after attackers opened fire on him near the Ahmadwal Stop area, according to police sources.
Police sources identified the slain officer as Mama Afzal, who was serving as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in the CTD. The incident occurred when unidentified attackers opened fire on him at Ahmadwal Stop in Noshki city, leaving him critically wounded.
According to sources, the wounded officer was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. However, he could not survive his injuries and succumbed during treatment.
The motives behind the attack remain unknown at this stage, and no group has so far claimed responsibility for the incident. Investigations into the killing have been initiated by local authorities.
