
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Dr. Mahrang Baloch’s sister, Nadia Baloch Advocate, along with her legal team, met with elders of the Hazara community today and briefed them on the arrest, imprisonment, and ongoing trial of Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) leaders.
During the meeting, Nadia Baloch emphasized that all nations living in Balochistan and civil society can play an effective and meaningful role in securing the release of BYC leaders and ensuring the delivery of justice to them.
Progressive political elders of the Hazara community assured the delegation that they would extend every possible cooperation and play their full role in supporting the rights, fair trial, and release of the BYC leaders.
Concern was also expressed during the meeting over the fact that the trial of BYC leaders is being conducted through an online procedure. Participants said that opposition to such non-transparent and unjust procedures is necessary, warning that such measures could in the future be used against any citizen or political activist.
Those present at the meeting included Naseem Javed Hazara (BNP), Ibrahim Hazara, Abdul Rahim Qasmi, Nadir Hazara, Captain Muhammad Ali Azad Hazara (BNP), Malik Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Comrade Ali Raza Mangal, Nimat Hazara (BNP), Murad Ali Hazara, and Liaqat Ali Dawar.
