KARACHI: A member of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Fauzia Baloch said that her brother was taken into custody by security personnel and subsequently went missing in Karachi.
Fauzia Baloch Shashani, a Baloch activist affiliated with the organisation, claimed that her brother, Dad Baloch Shah, was picked up from their residence during a late-night raid.
According to her statement, Forces personnel entered the house and took her brother into custody in front of family members. She further said that when she asked for legal documentation, including a warrant or FIR, she was threatened and no paperwork was provided.
She said that despite visiting multiple police stations after the incident, the family has been unable to obtain any information regarding his whereabouts.
Fauzia Baloch also stated that this is the second time her brother has been subjected to enforced disappearance, adding that he had previously gone missing and was later recovered.
She accused state institutions of using such actions to intimidate her and her family but said she would continue to raise her voice against the incident.
The activist has called on political parties and human rights organisations to take notice of the case and demand the safe recovery of her brother.
No official statement has been issued by authorities regarding the allegations.
