
Jhal Magsi, Balochistan: An attack on a Pakistani forces convoy has been reported in the Kotro area of Jhal Magsi, where, according to sources, at least eight military vehicles came under attack.
According local sources three of the vehicles were completely destroyed after catching fire, while Baloch armed individuals have claimed to have taken control of some vehicles and seized weapons. Reports also suggest casualties among personnel, although these claims have not been independently verified.
Sources further indicated that additional vehicles were present at the scene and that a nearby security post also came under attack during the incident.
The development follows an earlier assault on a police station in the same area.
According to police sources, unidentified armed individuals opened indiscriminate fire on the Kotra police station, resulting in the death of one individual at the scene. Five others, including Station House Officer (SHO) Mir Hassan Sapra, two police personnel, and two civilians, were injured.
The injured were identified as Muhammad Iqbal Lashari and Nisar Ahmed Lashari, who were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Local sources stated that the deceased individual was reportedly armed and present alongside police, though further details remain unclear.
Following the incident, heavy contingents of police and security forces reached the area and cordoned off the scene.
No official statement has yet been issued regarding either the convoy attack or the earlier police station incident, and the reports remain unverified.
