Protest Against Enforced Disappearances Continues in Quetta

QUETTA: A protest camp against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), has entered its 6,099th day outside the Quetta Press Club.

The camp is being led by Niaz Muhammad, a member of the organization’s executive committee.

In a statement, Niaz Muhammad said the group had received a complaint that Wahab Ghani, a graduate of University of the Punjab, was detained by security forces in Lahore at around 1:30 a.m. the previous night and forcibly disappeared.

He expressed concern over the incident and condemned the detention, calling on the Government of Punjab to ensure the immediate and safe recovery of Wahab Ghani.
