QUETTA: Several incidents targeting Pakistani security forces and police were reported in different districts of Balochistan, according to local sources.
In Dalbandin, the main town of Chagai, unidentified armed individuals reportedly carried out a grenade attack that injured at least one police officer. Sources said the attack occurred in a city area, after which security forces cordoned off the site and began an investigation.
In a separate incident in the Shehrag area of Kech, armed men attacked a checkpost of the Pakistan Army. During the assault, surveillance cameras installed at the post were reportedly destroyed.
Meanwhile, in the Katan area of Khuzdar, reports emerged that another security post of Pakistani forces was targeted the previous day.
Local residents said several explosions were heard during the incident, followed by an exchange of gunfire between the attackers and security personnel. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the attacks.
