Islamabad: Dr. Shalee Baloch, Organizer of the Baloch Women Forum, has strongly criticized the reported abduction of Baloch student Nabeel Arman in Islamabad, calling it part of a recurring pattern of enforced disappearances targeting Baloch students. She shared her statement on social media platform X.

Dr. Shalee Baloch described Nabeel Arman as a “bright individual” and expressed deep concerns about the safety of Baloch students, particularly in Islamabad and Punjab. She highlighted that if there had been any criminal charges against him, authorities could have legally arrested him and conducted proper interrogation. Instead, she said, security personnel chose the illegal route of enforced disappearance.

“Nabeel’s case is not an isolated incident,” she said, pointing out that many Baloch students have reportedly been disappeared both within Balochistan and outside it despite committing no crimes.

Dr. Shalee Baloch demanded the immediate release of Nabeel Arman and other disappeared students, emphasizing that he should be allowed to continue his work for societal development.
