Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks in Barkhan, Balochistan, saying its fighters seized a police post, confiscated official weapons and detained three employees of a construction company.

In a statement issued by spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters besieged a police post near the Dohla Nadi area of Barkhan on February 21. According to the statement, three police personnel stationed at the post were detained and their official weapons were seized. The BLF claimed that after interrogation, the personnel were released unharmed as they were not found to be involved in activities against the Baloch cause.

The statement further said that BLF fighters attacked a construction company located a short distance from the same police post and detained three of its employees. The group claimed the individuals remain in its custody for interrogation.

The BLF said it accepts responsibility for both the seizure of the police post and the attack on the construction company.
