Hub Chowki: Pakistani Forces Detain BNM Chairman’s Father and Uncle

Hub Chowki: Pakistani forces reportedly conducted early morning raids in Hub Chowki on 2 February, during which the father and uncle of Baloch National Movement (BNM) Chairman Dr. Naseem Baloch were taken into custody and moved to an unknown location.

According to sources, around 3:30 a.m., multiple homes across Hub Chowki were raided. Retired Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Bakhsh Sajedi, his brother Naeem Sajedi, and former Chief Sui Gas Engineer Rafiq Baloch were detained during the operations.

Muhammad Bakhsh Sajedi is the father of Dr. Naseem Baloch, while Naeem Sajedi and Engineer Rafiq Baloch are reported to be his uncles.

Family sources stated that no legal warrants were presented during the raids and that those taken into custody were moved to an unknown location. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Human rights groups have expressed concern over the incident, calling for the immediate release of the detained individuals and urging authorities to ensure that any legal proceedings are conducted transparently
