Quetta: The Baloch Students Action Committee (BSAC) continues its educational and intellectual campaign, the Balochistan Book Caravan, with book-related activities taking place across various districts of Balochistan.
As part of this initiative, a one-day book stall was organized yesterday in Dera Murad Jamali, set up by BSAC Nasirabad Zone at Allah Wala Chowk. The stall offered a variety of quality books on history, literature, politics, social sciences, and intellectual topics to the public. According to the organizers, students, youth and local citizens showed keen interest in the books.
Meanwhile, BSAC Turbat Hankin has announced a one-day book fair today, January 30, 2026, in the Koshkalat area of Kech. The fair will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, featuring books on literature, history, politics, sociology, philosophy and educational subjects.
BSAC organizers stated that the primary goal of the Balochistan Book Caravan is to revive the declining culture of reading and reconnect the younger generation with books and knowledge. The initiative is not limited to a few cities but is being carried out in stages across various districts of Balochistan, receiving enthusiastic responses from the public.
Local residents and academic circles in Dera Murad Jamali and other areas described the campaign as positive and purposeful, emphasizing that making books accessible to the public encourages youth to engage in constructive activities and promotes intellectual dialogue within society.
The Baloch Students Action Committee urged students, teachers, intellectuals and the general public to participate in the activities of the Balochistan Book Caravan and contribute to strengthening the culture of education and reading.
It is worth noting that BSAC has previously organized book fairs and stalls under the Balochistan Book Caravan in various districts, which have received encouraging responses from both the public and academic circles.
