BLF Claims Killing of Eight Military Personnel in Multiple Attacks Across Balochistan

QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks carried out between January 10 and January 19 in different areas of Balochistan, resulting in the killing of eight military personnel, injuries to four others, seizure of military rations, and the establishment of road blockades.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch said: “8 military personnel killed in eight different attacks, military rations seized and conducted road blockades.

Balochistan Liberation Front fighters on January 19 targeted military personnel on motorcycle going for picket security at a military post in the Zirdan area of Buleda in a sniper attack. One personnel was killed in the attack. Subsequently, they were attacked with heavy weapons, inflicting casulalities and material losses.

He said that on the evening of January 18, our fighters targeted and destroyed surveillance cameras installed at a Pakistani forces checkpoint in the Mirabad area of Tump. On January 18, our fighters took control of a supply vehicle providing rations to the army in the area between Nasirabad and Nodiz and confiscated the goods on it.

Balochistan Liberation Front fighters conducted snap checking by setting up a checkpoint on the CPEC highway in Rakhshan Kour area of Panjgur on January 17 from 4:00 PM in the afternoon until 8:00 PM at night; however, during this time there was no movement of any agency or enemy elements.

He further said that on the morning of January 17 at 4:00 AM, BLF’s fighters ambushed a military convoy entering the Gomazi area of Tump for military operation and targeted it from extremely close range. In this attack, 6 military personnel were killed and 4 wounded, while two vehicles suffered severe damage.
The military convoy consisted of 6 vehicles, which was going to search houses in the area. Based on secret intelligence, BLF’s fighters ambushed and attacked in advance, as a result of which the army had to suffer severe human and material losses.

On January 16, fighters of the Sniper Tactical Team (STT), a sub-unit of the Balochistan Liberation Front, targeted and killed a personnel deployed at a security post of the Pakistani army camp established in the Ashsal area of Kolwah. The video of this attack will soon be published on the organization’s media channel Aashob.

The spokesperson said that on January 16 at around 4:00 PM in the afternoon, our fighters surrounded and attacked the main camp of the Pakistani army in the Geshkour Bazaar Kolwah, from two sides. Modern and heavy weapons were used in this attack, as a result of which the army suffered human and material losses. The video of the attack will also be published soon on the Aashob media channel.

On January 10, our Sarmachars set up a blockade on the highway in the Nasirabad area of Turbat and searched vehicles. During the blockade, a vehicle carrying supplies for the Pakistani army was taken into custody along with the driver; however, the driver was later released on humanitarian ground.

The Balochistan Liberation Front accepts responsibility for the killing of 8 military personnel, injuring of 4, confiscation of military rations, and blockades, in various operations.
