Sindh: Syed Asghar Shah, Chief Commander of the Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA), has issued a message on the 122nd birthday of Sain G.M. Syed, urging a struggle against the Pakistan Army and calling for the establishment of an independent “Sindhudesh.”
In his statement, Syed Asghar Shah said that January 17 marks the 122nd birthday of Sain G.M. Syed, a great historical figure of Sindh. Through his revolutionary thought and struggle, Sain G.M. Syed highlighted the bravery, sacrifice, courage and wisdom embedded in Sindh’s thousands-of-years-old history and presented a program for the “Free Sindhudesh,” aimed at securing Sindh’s freedom, protection and survival. According to Shah, this program has proven to be the only solution for the freedom, development and prosperity of the Sindhi people.
He added that on the occasion of Sain G.M. Syed’s birthday, he is addressing all conscious individuals who understand the harsh, complex and challenging stages of politics and revolution in Sindh. He noted that historically significant nations around the world are awakening after periods of silence and people in historically and culturally rich oppressed countries, particularly in the Third World, are rising for their rights to sovereignty, development, freedom, prosperity, justice and better governance. He said the current global situation indicates that major international alliances are likely to collapse soon, paving the way for new alignments.
Asghar Shah stated that in such a scenario, as the drums of conflict and confrontation sound worldwide, the Sindhi nation has an opportunity to mobilize and reflect on its path forward.
He further called on all conscious Sindhis, on the birthday of Sain G.M. Syed, to study and evaluate the ideology and program of “Free Sindhudesh” and to adopt the path of guerrilla resistance to implement it. He asserted that Pakistan is using every possible means and its entire state machinery to strengthen its control over Sindh’s economy and national existence and to suppress the movement for national freedom. As a recent example, Shah cited intensified crackdowns against pro-independence activists across Sindh in the days leading up to Sain G.M. Syed’s birthday, including raids on homes and enforced disappearances.
He stressed that under these circumstances, a collective response from the Sindhi nation against Pakistan and its army has become extremely necessary. According to him, the only effective way to respond to national humiliation, subjugation, and occupation is through guerrilla resistance. He urged Sindhis to fight against Pakistan and its army and to achieve what is historically and naturally their right an independent homeland, “Sindhudesh.”
In conclusion, Syed Asghar Shah extended birthday greetings to Sindhis residing in Sindh, India, and around the world on the occasion of Sain G.M. Syed’s 122nd birthday.
