
Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an outlawed militant group, has claimed responsibility for two separate attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and a minerals-transport vehicle in Turbat and Mastung.
In a statement issued to the media, the group’s spokesperson, Jeeyand Baloch, said that its fighters carried out an attack on a Pakistani military camp in the Meri Bug area of Turbat. According to the claim, several rockets were fired at the camp, reportedly hitting their intended targets. The BLA further asserted that the attack caused a vehicle inside the camp to catch fire and resulted in the deaths of two soldiers and injuries at least four others.
The spokesperson added that another BLA unit conducted snap checking in the area following the attack.
In a separate claim, the group stated that on Tuesday its fighters targeted a truck transporting minerals in the Zali area of Mastung, saying the vehicle was damaged after gunfire.
The BLA, concluded the statement by reiterating responsibility for both incidents.
