QUETTA: The Baloch Students Organization (Azad) has alleged that a school teacher, Ayaz Baloch, was killed in Buleda, Kech, by what the group describes as “state-sponsored death squads.” The claims were made in a statement issued by a spokesperson for the organization.
According to BSO Azad, Ayaz Baloch, who taught at a private school in the Buleda Kech, was abducted and later killed in what they describe as an extrajudicial act. The group stated that the teacher was known for educating children in remote parts of Balochistan.
The statement further accused Pakistani security forces of using proxy armed groups as part of counterinsurgency operations, alleging that civilians including students, teachers, doctors, writers and political workers are being targeted through state-sponsored groups. The organization also claimed that various religious and armed outfits operate with state support in Balochistan.
BSO Azad described the killing as part of broader “human rights violations” in Balochistan and called on international institutions and governments to intervene. The group urged global bodies to investigate what it terms ongoing abuses against the Baloch population.
