
Kech: Women from Shopok, Turbat, held a press conference at the Turbat Press Club on Tuesday, stating that their five children have been forcibly disappeared for the past four months, and despite continuous protests and repeated appeals to authorities, no progress has been made.
According to the women, on 28 August, their five children Shah Baik son of Master Aslam, Qadeer son of Lillah, Akram son of Master Taqseer, Qadeer son of Phulain, and Muhammad Yaseen son of Muskan were picked up together from Essa Nagri in Quetta. Since then, there has been no information regarding their whereabouts.
They further stated that Saddam son of Mehrab was also disappeared from the Jussak area in July and has not been recovered to date.
The families said they have met with the deputy commissioner, commissioner, and other relevant officials multiple times and conveyed their grievances, but even after four months, neither have the children been recovered nor has any information been provided about their condition or location.
During the press conference, they said the missing young men are students who were residing in Quetta for educational purposes.
The women announced that if their children are not recovered within three days, they will be compelled to block Educational Chowk, Commissioner Road, and other major highways.
