Berlin: Addressing a seminar organized by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) on Baloch Martyrs’ Day 2025, Dr. Lakhu Luhana, General Secretary of the World Sindhi Congress (WSC), warned that the Punjabi state aims to erase the identities of Sindhi and Baloch nations, divide them, and seize their resources, with the 27th Amendment being part of this plan.

Paying tribute to the Baloch martyrs, Dr. Luhana said: “We gather to honor countless sons and daughters of Balochistan who sacrificed their lives, believing that the freedom and dignity of their motherland is worth more than life itself.” He affirmed that the Sindhi nation stands in complete solidarity with the Baloch nation in their struggle for justice and freedom.

Highlighting decades of occupation, Dr. Luhana noted that three generations have grown up under oppression, enduring enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, collective graves and cultural genocide. “The Punjabi state has decided to completely eliminate us,” he said, asserting that these actions constitute genocide under the UN definition, not merely crimes against humanity.

He emphasized the historical and geographical bonds between the Sindhi and Baloch peoples, explaining that both nations face the same subjugation. “The occupiers covet Sindh’s lands, resources, sea, water, and language. The 27th Amendment is part of their plan to seize everything,” he warned.

Dr. Luhana stressed that the sacrifices of the martyrs are not forgotten and called on leaders to act with collective wisdom to honor these sacrifices. He concluded with a call for unity and joint efforts, urging both nations to strengthen their struggle so that the dream of a free and dignified homeland can be realized.
