In Panjgur district of Balochistan, Pakistani security forces detained a mother and her daughter and subjected them to severe torture and sexual abuse.
According to local sources, the women were taken from the Panchi area, tortured, and later left in serious condition at a hospital. Local residents said both victims were unconscious when brought for treatment.
Such incidents have been reported previously in Balochistan, where women have been harmed or detained during raids and where enforced disappearances remain a persistent concern.
Last month, in the Zehri area of Khuzdar, a woman named Safiya Bibi was also reportedly taken into custody during a military operation and later released. Earlier this year, 23-year-old student Mahjabeen Baloch was taken from her hostel on May 29, just five days after her brother Younis Baloch disappeared. Younis was later released, while Mahjabeen remains missing.
Local human rights organizations and activists have expressed deep concern over the growing number of violent incidents and enforced disappearances across Balochistan, calling for immediate, transparent investigations into these cases.
