QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for two separate IED attacks in the Kalat and Kech districts, alleging that three Pakistani soldiers were killed and two others injured.
According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group’s fighters targeted Pakistani military personnel in Kalat’s Garap area with a remote-controlled IED. The attack reportedly occurred as soldiers were delivering rations to their posts, killing two personnel on the spot and injuring another.
The spokesperson further stated that on the previous day, BLA fighters carried out another remote-controlled IED attack in the Gorkop area of Kech district. The target, according to the BLA, was a bomb disposal unit on foot that was clearing routes for military convoys near Miani Kalag. The blast killed one soldier and seriously wounded another.
The BLA claimed full responsibility for both attacks.
