Quetta: The Baloch Students Organization (Azad) has announced that an online campaign will be launched on November 13 to commemorate “Baloch Martyrs’ Day,” calling on the Baloch nation to take active part in the event.
According to the central spokesperson of BSO Azad, the Baloch nation observes November 13 every year as “Baloch Martyrs’ Day” across Balochistan and around the world, paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Balochistan. The day honors those heroes who chose resistance over submission and became immortal in the history of the Baloch nation.
November 13 marks the day when Mir Mehrab Khan resisted British imperial forces rather than surrendering and embraced martyrdom while defending Baloch soil. This philosophy of resistance, the statement said, has guided generations of Baloch who have continued to struggle against oppression and foreign domination. The spirit of resistance and national freedom, deeply rooted in the collective consciousness of the Baloch people, remains unbroken — as it is nourished by the sacrifices made for the dream of an independent Balochistan.
BSO Azad stated that dedicating November 13 as “Baloch Martyrs’ Day” reflects the unity and collective strength of the Baloch nation. The organization emphasized that the day is not only about remembrance but also about understanding and continuing the philosophy of sacrifice for national freedom and the restoration of a sovereign Baloch state.
The statement further added that the Baloch nation commemorates this day each year with great reverence across Balochistan and abroad. This year, BSO Azad will organize an extensive social media campaign and various activities across Balochistan to mark the occasion.
The organization has appealed to all national institutions, organizations, and individuals to actively participate in the campaign by writing articles, sharing stories and philosophies of the martyrs, producing videos, and holding seminars and events to honor the sacrifices of the Baloch martyrs worldwide.
