Quetta: The United Baloch Army (UBA) has claimed responsibility for the killing of an alleged state informant in Sevari area of Dhadar district.
In a statement, UBA spokesperson Mazar Baloch said that UBA fighters detained Pandi Mari, son of Toor Khan Mari, during a patrol on the night of October 14. The statement alleges that Pandi Mari had been working as an informant for state agencies and was involved in activities against the Baloch independence movement.
According to the UBA, the detainee confessed to his crimes during interrogation and identified other collaborators allegedly active in Dhadar. The group says a “Baloch national court” examined the evidence and sentenced Pandi Mari to death. UBA fighters then carried out the sentence, the statement says and the organisation accepted responsibility for the killing.
The UBA statement also contained a warning to those it described as collaborators with the occupying state, saying they should stay away from military checkposts and state institutions or face consequences. It further said that UBA maintains intelligence on individuals it considers traitors and that operations will continue until the group’s stated goals are achieved.
