Turbat: The family of Amjad Ali, son of Sher Muhammad, a resident of Gogdan in Turbat, has appealed for his safe recovery after more than a month has passed since his abduction by unknown individuals.
According to the family, Amjad Ali was abducted on September 15 by unidentified men and since then, there has been no information about his whereabouts or condition.
Addressing a press conference at the Turbat Press Club on Tuesday, the family expressed deep concern over his disappearance, saying they have been living in constant pain, fear and uncertainty for the past thirty days.
The Family said that, “We don’t know who abducted him or why. No one has contacted us so far. We only appeal for his safe release,” the family said during the press conference.
They appealed to the abductors on humanitarian grounds to release Amjad Ali, saying that if he was taken due to any misunderstanding or purpose, at least the family should be informed.
According to the family, Amjad Ali suffers from several health conditions. He has undergone a heart bypass surgery and needs to take daily medication. They warned that his life could be in serious danger if he is deprived of medical treatment.
The family said that forcibly disappearing individuals without providing any information has become an inhumane and painful reality for nearly every household in Balochistan.
They urged journalists, human rights organizations and relevant authorities to raise their voices and play an effective role in ensuring the immediate and safe recovery of Amjad Ali.
