The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) have claimed responsibility for coordinated attacks in Naseerabad and Dera Bugti, the group’s spokesperson Doostin Baloch said in a statement to the media.
According to the BRG statement, fighters carried out a hand-grenade attack last night on the residence of Ali Mardan Pilal, a government-backed local figure, in Dera Murad Jamali, central Naseerabad. The statement said Pilal escaped the attack unharmed.
The BRG also reported that its fighters opened fire on vehicles belonging to a military construction company working on the Pat Feeder, Mir Hassan Road in Dera Murad Jamali, causing significant damage to the vehicles.
Separately, the group said its operatives planted explosive devices on three gas pipelines at Pyara Colony in the Sui area of Dera Bugti. One pipeline was destroyed completely and two were severely damaged, the statement added.
The BRG accepted responsibility for all three operations and warned that such actions would continue “until the liberation of Balochistan,” the spokesperson said.
