
The Spokesperson for Balochistan Libeeration Front Major Gwhram Baloch, told the media that BLF fighters set up checkpoints at several locations on the main roads in Surab and Washk, seized official weapons and vehicles from customs and police personnel.
According to the statement, on the evening of 25 September from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., fighters conducted snap checks at three different points in Surab. During the checkpoints including at Tariki Dam and Naghad bypass, BLF fighters detained personnel from the Pakistani Customs Department along with their official weapons and vehicles. After an initial investigation, those personnel were released because they were not found to be involved in anti-Baloch activities; however, the official weapons and vehicles were confiscated.
The spokesman added that, in a separate action on the night of 24 September, BLF fighters stopped a police patrol on the CPEC road at Zard in the Washk area and detained the police team. The fighters later released the officers but confiscated the police weapons and vehicle.
The BLF statement accepted responsibility for the checkpoints and for seizing the customs and police equipment in Surab and Zard (Washk) and reiterated its determination to target all individuals and groups including Pakistani security forces it regards as involved in anti-Baloch activities until the liberation of Balochistan.
