Nushki: Ambush Attack on Pakistani Forces Convoy, Military Checkpost Also Targeted

In Nushki district of Balochistan, armed assailants ambushed a convoy of Pakistani forces and also targeted a military checkpost.

According to sources, around 8 PM on July 12, unknown armed men attacked a Pakistani forces checkpost in the Zarreen Jungle area of Nushki using heavy weapons.

It is reported that during the attack, a convoy arriving as reinforcement for the forces was also ambushed by the attackers, forcing the forces to retreat. Local sources said that explosions and gunfire continued for approximately half an hour.

The forces reportedly suffered human and material losses in the assault.

Meanwhile, on July 10, armed men set fire to an under-construction military post of the Pakistani forces in the Malikabad area of Tump. During the incident, forces advancing from Nazarabad toward the attack site were also targeted.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, in recent days, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed to have carried out “Operation Baam,” under which 84 attacks were conducted simultaneously in 25 areas across 15 districts of Balochistan. These attacks targeted security forces, military installations, and intelligence personnel.

The attacks carried out under BLF’s Operation Baam have attracted both local and international media attention.
