The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for establishing a checkpoint on the Noshki-Kharan road and for damaging construction machinery involved in building security barriers in the Dasht region.
According to BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, on May 3 at approximately 3:30 PM, BLF fighters punctured the tires of five tractors in the Sorrak area of Dasht Bal Nigwar. These tractors were reportedly engaged in constructing what the BLF described as “unnecessary security barriers.”
The spokesperson noted that the contractor, Khurshid Nigwri, had been previously warned not to proceed with the construction. As the warning was ignored, the action was carried out as a form of resistance.
The following day, on May 4, between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, BLF fighters set up a checkpoint near Albat on the Kharan-Noshki road, where they inspected vehicles. Simultaneously, another BLF unit targeted a construction company operating in Zarin Jungle, where machinery was set on fire. Four individuals were also detained on suspicion and are currently under investigation.
The BLF emphasized that these checkpoints are not intended to harass civilians, but to disrupt the activities of what they refer to as “anti-Baloch forces” and state informants working under the Pakistani state.
Major Gwahram Baloch reiterated that the BLF accepts full responsibility for the operations in Noshki and Dasht, and issued a warning to all construction companies across Balochistan to refrain from participating in what it calls “Pakistan’s exploitative projects in the occupied region.”
