Lyari: Young Man Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces

Karachi: A young man has been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces from the Baloch-majority area of Lyari in Karachi.

According to sources, the victim has been identified as Akhtar, son of Akbar. He was detained during a pre-dawn raid at around 4 AM on April 11 from his home in the Kalri neighborhood, specifically in the Sargwat area of Lyari.

Following his detention, Akhtar was moved to an undisclosed location, and his whereabouts remain unknown since then.

The incident has raised fresh concerns over the ongoing pattern of enforced disappearances in Baloch communities across Pakistan.
