Quetta: CTD Officer Amjad Ababki Killed in Armed Attack

In Balochistan’s capital city, Quetta, a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officer was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in the Jungle Bagh area.

The deceased has been identified as Amjad Ababki. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta following the incident. The motives behind the attack remain unknown at this time.

It is worth noting that the CTD in Balochistan has been frequently accused of involvement in fake encounters and the extrajudicial killing of forcibly disappeared individuals. These allegations have led to consistent criticism and questions from political and human rights circles regarding the department’s operations.
